Power is measured in the left leg via two sets of opposing gauges in the axle delivering precise data metrics including power output, cadence, torque effectiveness and pedal smoothness.
INpower DM MTB houses powermeter technology inside the crank axle protecting it from rocks, knocks & crashes or contaminants like mud, sand and clay. INpower DM MTB is a powerful tool for measuring your unique pedaling biomechanics via our ROTOR Power application. Access real time performance rich data including proprietary metrics TORQUE 360, Optimum Chainring Angle (OCA) and a recommendation of your Optimal Chainring Position (OCP).
Combine this key information with Q RINGS® oval chainrings to adjust your OCP in 1 of 5 different positions for fine-tuned pedalling efficiency and maximise transmission of power in your unique pedal rotation. New trends in smaller chainrings – plus a motive to craft a lighter oval chainring for mountain bikes, resulted in Direct Mount Q rings. The simplified one-piece design saves approximately 40 grams compared to standard ring+spider+bolts combination (for example, weight savings for a 32t ring is 40g). By machining our direct mount chainrings from a single piece of aluminum, in addition to trimming weight, rigidity gets improved by orienting the aluminum’s unidirectional fibers to take maximum advantage of their properties.
Since the origin of the bicycle more than a century ago, round chainrings have been the presumed standard for providing drivetrain resistance. Round chainrings pay homage to cycling´s illustrious history by upholding this standard despite conclusive proof that round rings are less-efficient than oval chainrings.
